3D Animated Class Project 2024 | A Friendly Face OPTheDragon 2024-12-28 | Songbird keeps scaring people away, until she finds a solution to hide her sharp teeth.Sorry it’s been four months since I last posted! College has been busy :,] this film was made last spring for my 3D Animation class. I don’t remember how long it took exactly, around two or three weeks, I think. I 3D modeled the building and the smiley-face mascot thing, as well as making the textures for them. Songbird was 3D modeled, rigged, and animated by me as well. Backgrounds were drawn in Procreate and the people were animated in RoughAnimator. Everything was composited together in LumaFusion. She’s a creature who has existed for a very long time, since the 1500s at least. Her main goal is to protect people and especially children from danger, but it can be difficult to do that when everyone is terrified of you. This little animation is canonically how she got her mask, which did sort of help people be less scared of her. So I was mostly making it up as I went. Which is almost never a good idea if you want a consistent storyline.Speaking of which, this vaguely follows the plot of a webcomic my friend and I are making!
