The Emerald Awards celebrate the organizations, projects, and individuals across Alberta working to address environmental challenges and build a more resilient and sustainable future.

As the only awards program of its kind in Canada, these awards have recognized over 400 recipients and 900 finalists since 1992, showcasing Alberta as a leader and innovator in the environmental space.

This year's Emerald Awards feature 42 shortlisted organizations, initiatives, and individuals from 17 communities across Alberta, 15 of which will be announced as this year’s recipients and will receive:
👉 A custom trophy, crafted from recycled chopsticks by ChopValue YYC in collaboration with local Calgary restaurants.
👉 A featured segment in the Emerald Documentary Series highlighting their impactful environmental work.
