Hey! I saw a new release film on 35mm again. LFG!
Times like these that make me yearn to be closer to houses such as the Vista Theatre in LA (the tasks I would've forgone to see those prints of Civil War and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire) and New Beverly (which, let's not beat around the bush, isn't that EVERY dream projectionist's wish?).
However, unfathomably fortunate that my pals over at the Gateway in Columbus got their hands on one of the 3 prints of this in succession, and a damn good print to boot.

AS A BONUS, I’ve also included here the opening to my 35mm print of Osmosis Jones, which I spliced the Carmike intro onto for the sake of smooth playback.
I can smell the buttered popcorn just by playing this. Maybe it was just something about Carmike, but they always had some of the best popcorn around. That’s for the most part held over to the AMC Classic theaters that have been taken over, but it’s another reason I miss Carmike.
