Today we are going to explore a specific type of security pin called a “serrated pin.” When you are first starting off these pins can be intimidated but with the tips and tricks you will learn today hopefully you will be able to approach them with more confidence! Once you become more experience with security pins you may find that you will really like them. Security pins provide a lot of valuable feedback and they make the lock “talk.” This can make locks with security pins easier to single pin pick (SPP) sometimes. However, security pins do an excellent job at thwarting low skill level attacks like raking, rocking, zipping, and bumping.
