If I can't force myself to load one game, then it's time for a new one! I started this run as the Morrigi literally yesterday, and figured hey. Why not record myself having actual fun?
The beautiful, and terrifying, thing about Sword of the Stars, the reason it's hard to say things definitively about this game, is that you are so in control of the experience. Each race plays differently, and just mixing and matching different ones on different teams produces entirely new games. Maps can be nearly any comprehensible shape. Difficulty options and sliding scales are right here for you.
So you can have a breezy, easy game, a thrilling competitive bout, or a frustrating grind, and it's on you. The game is looking to you to tune itself. When you get the frequency right, though, there's few better strategic experiences.

Long overdue, but its time to make the trek into the ruins of DC itself. We have map waypoints saying which way our Dad went, but that was a week ago, and uh. A lot can happen to a person in a week.
The journey is a little lighter with a friend along for the trip, whether or not they have the ability to speak. To make up for that, its time to descend through the tunnels, braving... things. New things.
And in this world, that means dangerous things.

Ive been playing so much FTL recently, I decided to get that mod that adds a bunch of Stuff to it, and like, maybe do some streams and stuff. Why not? Well, because well lose over and over. But thats rather the point.
Fun aside in the ongoing interest with Advertiser Friendliness, all the previous videos in this LP series have now been flagged as Acceptable, after often getting the [not safe, no money] designation in the past. Im honestly not sure by what method Youtube does what, and Im glad it doesnt decide to tell me anything, thats good.
Also, Im glad it basically skims the ad revenue from the time where the most people are going to be watching a video, right after it goes up, just like a content ID thing. Thats good stuff right there.

Ive vocalized some concerns about the situation throughout because Im a whiny bastard, but we tried to push through all that and wage this campaign. Thats getting more and more tough, as things have developed as I foresaw.

The long and the short of it is; we need the Liir alive and viable imperially, and we need to secure our entire half of the galaxy from the Zuul, and both objectives keep chasing off from us like a spooked rabbit.
A rabbit with a lots of teeth that mind-enslaves you and pillages your worlds in the backline.

Exterminate. Whatever these... things are. Its part of the games theme and story that we have no clue what this force is, it just came in, wiped out humanity, and, uh. Our drones video pickups arent precise enough to make out what they actually are, even when dead.
