Could an ordinary bed sheet become a waterproof shelter?

Welcome to Week 2 of the 30-Day Hobo Challenge!

Instead of buying expensive camping gear, we're building a complete hobo camp using simple, affordable materials. Each week we add one new piece of equipment, giving you plenty of time to build your own before the next project.

This week I show you how to:

✔ Build a traditional hobo tent from a king-sized 100% cotton flat sheet.

✔ Pitch the shelter in a field using shear sticks.

✔ Waterproof the tent using a simple treatment.

✔ Apply the same waterproofing method to last week's hobo pack sack.

By the end of the month we'll have built an entire hobo camping outfit, and in the final episode we'll head into the woods for an overnight camp using nothing but the gear we've made ourselves.

Challenge Schedule

Week 1: Build the Hobo Pack Sack ✅

Week 2: Build & Waterproof the Hobo Tent ✅

Week 3: Build the Hobo Sleeping Bag

Week 4: Build the Hobo Coffee Pot & Cook Set

Final Episode: Overnight Camp Using Only Our Homemade Gear
