The oldest car in the active BART revenue fleet is 3001, the first D car and First Fleet of the Future car. Due to its incident with hitting a sand box back in 2016, nearly 9 years ago, it is lovingly referred to as "Sandy." Sandy can be found on the Green Line from time to time.
