Leo from The Irish Zombie Nation asked me to give him a challenge on YouTube that would force him to learn a Bushcraft Skill. While this challenge is specifically directed at Leo, I invite any and all to participate. Feel free to journal your progress in the comments section. I look forward to reading your journeys. The challenge is relatively simple:
No other source of ignition other then flint and steel for 30 days. If you smoke, light your cigarettes via flint and steel. If you light your BBQ, use flint and steel. Etc.
I am sending Leo limited resources so he is forced to find his own local resources. I encourage you to work with unfamiliar resources in your area in finding char and birds nest material. Even try and find different rocks instead of store bought flint or chert.
Journal your progress from Day one to Day thirty and share with your peer group what you have learned.
