How To Make Creamy Gruyere Cheese Au Gratin Potatoes

INGREDIENTS:
4 cups peeled and thinly sliced russet potatoes
8 ounce grated Gruyere Swiss cheese plus for the top
Grated Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 cups milk
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
2-3 tbsp. minced onion
1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. to 1/4 tsp. black pepper
Use greased baking dish.
Layer potatoes, pinch of salt, grated parmesan cheese and sauce.
You should have two layers.
Bake at 350 degrees Farenheit for total of 1 hour.
After 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle top with grated cheese.
Cook for an additional 30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Cool for 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
Enjoy.

3 cups mashed potatoes
2/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 large egg
1/2 cup flour
2-3 tbsp. chopped green onions
1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
salt and black pepper to taste
*Mix above ingredients
oil to fry
In a skillet on medium heat add oil and place in potato mixture with
tablespoon and flatten out.
Cook on each side for 2-3 minutes and then place on paper towel to drain.
Enjoy.

INGREDIENTS:
4-5 pounds peeled and 3/4" to 1" cubed russet potatoes
1/4 tsp. or more of salt
1/8 tsp. or more of black pepper
3-4 tbsp. butter - room temperature or melted
1 cup or more warm milk or cream - add a little at a time
Optional additions: fresh herbs, sour cream, cheese, bacon, etc...
Put peeled and cubed potatoes in cold water. Water should be about 1" above
the potatoes.
Turn heat on high and bring up to a boil.
Cook for 10-13 minutes or until tender. Do not over cook as they will be mush.
Drain and return to the pan.
Add salt, black pepper, butter and a little of the milk.
Whip until fluffy. Add warm milk a little at a time whisking in between.
Enjoy.
