The third in the Natural England climate change webinar series introduces the role of Nature Based Solutions to climate change mitigation and their contribution to the UK’s Net Zero targets.
It provides an introduction to the Net Zero target and the role of the natural environment and agriculture in reducing national emissions, including through peatland restoration and woodland creation as well as the contribution of agri-environment schemes and the issues and approaches at the coast and in the marine environment.
We explore some of the more complex issues and introduce a range of helpful resources such as the Net Zero and Carbon Storage reports produced by Natural England. This webinar is presented by Natural England climate change specialists – Mike Morecroft and Ian Crosher with support from Ruth Gregg and Jessica Adams.
