The Pedal Brainz Left Brain is an incredibly intricate expression device that takes internally generated light patterns and signals to create an expression output that you can use to control your various expression enabled effects and devices. Featuring over 50 distinct modes, all carrying varying levels of organic shape, randomness, jagged peaks and valleys and beyond. You can craft something conventional, or incredibly chaotic all with a few button presses and knob turns.
The highlight of the experience of using the Left Brain for me is by far the sensory experience of seeing light tangibly interact with your playing and expression. While applicable to so many different styles of music, I found that this kind of ambient exploration, just the Habit looping, Mood offering delay, and the Generation Loss Mk II providing some filtering and lofi goodness were all that were necessary to create some magical sound manipulations using the feature set of the Left Brain.
It's worth noting that I left a cloud reverb on for the duration to bring a touch of consistency and softness to bring out the meditative quality that using this beautiful device engenders.
