dealing with imposter syndrome as a cosplayer/creative with ADHD vaultfox 2022-09-09 | I've dealt with imposter syndrome ... pretty much my entire life, but doubly so when it comes to cosplay and creating content. Throwing ADHD into that mix just makes everything even worse because now all of that self-doubt and time blindness takes over and somehow I'm four hours into working on a cosplay and can't remember exactly what I did to make it! Lately I've been stressing about doing things "the right way", or I guess in simpler terms, the "neurotypical way" even though that's not how my brain works. I crave novelty and variety and need to switch things up a lot ... like with scripting my youtube videos. Most of the time I type out scripts on my laptop but have been enjoying writing them on my phone, but I STILL struggle with the fact that writing scripts on a phone doesn't feel like "the right way" to do it! In this video I share a few of my tips and tricks on packing for a convention and getting things there safely and through TSA checks without anything getting tossed or confiscated!I'll most likely do these packing videos for each convention I attend in the future because no two conventions are the same in terms of the costumes I bring. For DragonCon, I kept in mind the fact that I was flying to the convention and didn't want to bring more than one checked bag.
