This can serve as a demo of using the Waveshare E-paper displays, displaying weather or other sensor data from Home Assistant, using the graph component, finding and mapping custom MDI icons, drawing boxes, formatting dates/numbers/text, and general display setup in ESPHome.I'm using the Met.no weather integration, and the method for extracting weather forecast data has changed in recent Home Assistant updates (2024.2). These devices can be quite hard to catch awake for firmware/YAML updates... so, here are a couple of ways to do it. The first is automated using some built in Home Assistant tools, but I only know how to do that for ESPHome updates. Fancy Pants... for hunting (Sitka vs. Kuiu) Tech Dregs 2023-12-08 | A little comparison/review of the Sitka Traverse (Optifade Subalpine) and Kuiu Attack (Loden) pants. Both are fairly premium, mid/light weight hunting pants. Both have good construction. The Kuiu seem a bit heavier and might hold up better to brush. The Sitka are a little lighter and more roomy.
