3.7 g/sq ft, 38" Wide, 0.010" Thick

This surfacing mat is a thin ply of continuous strand fibers that are randomly looped throughout the roll of material. It serves two primary purposes: As a surface coat, it is often added to molds to minimize the pattern show-through of heavier fabrics applied later. It permits surface sanding of finished parts without compromising, or cutting into, the reinforcing fabric below. When used with sandwich core, it may be placed directly over core materials to optimize bond-line thickness. It will also keep excess resin from draining into honeycomb cells when a vacuum is not used.

It is extremely thin, with a consistency much like tissue paper, and is held together with only a light binder—it does NOT add strength or structural value to any application.

Binder is not compatible with any epoxy. PLEASE NOTE: it should be used with polyester or vinyl ester resin only.
