Claudia, from Southern Germany, loves Israel but still feels like she is always between cracks. For her, Israel is a miniature of the world, not only because of its cultural diversity, but also in terms of nature and landscapes. You can go skiing on the mountains and swimming in the sea on the same day.

Artist Dan works during the night. He finds inspiration in the Israeli history, from the Zionist movement of Theodor Herzl to Ben Gurion. For him, it is about telling stories.

DJ Omri organized very popular youth parties when he was only a child himself. He works at a night club that used to be the biggest one not only in Jerusalem, but all of Israel: the Haoman 17. They kept the club open even during the Second Intifada. Even today, everyone is checked twice by the securities at the entry.

Muhammad has a reputation as a rapper. As a resident of the Shua'fat refugee camp, he is a citizen of Jerusalem, but cut off from the rest of the city by the wall. He pays taxes, but there is no waste removal in the district and the powerline is as illegal as the houses. It is a city within the city.

Human rights lawyer Shlomo lives in the German colony district in the West of Jerusalem. He mostly represents Palestinians before Israeli courts, among them many Bedouins. In the occupied territories in East Jerusalem, they are under military jurisdiction.

24H Jerusalem: A multifaceted insight into Jerusalem's everyday life
The 24-hour TV show tells the story of the city through the eyes of the people who live in it and who are caught up in its contradictions: Jews, Muslims and Christians, Israelis, Palestinians and foreigners, women and men, immigrants and old-timers, believers and atheists, night owls and early risers. 70 film teams accompanied around 90 protagonists with the most diverse life stories at work and in their leisure time, in cramped apartments and spacious villas, in temples, mosques and churches, in Israeli settlements and Palestinian refugee camps.
