Woven Roving provides an inexpensive means to laminate large, flat areas that call for rapid build-up and high strength reinforcement. It is not suited for applications that require conformability.

Fibers are bundled into warp and fill yarns that run at zero and 90 degrees, delivering solid strength in two directions for finished composite parts. Fabricators should orient yarns to run parallel with expected loads, and alternate consecutive plies at 45 degrees to maximize strength.

Woven roving is often used with chopped strand mat (CSM) to reinforce other materials and make repairs. In this specific case, it should be used with polyester or vinyl ester resin only, as the CSM keeps it from being compatible with epoxy. Otherwise, woven roving is compatible with all of the resins on this site.

Fibre Glast is committed to ensuring that every roll of fabric we handle is First Quality and manufactured to the highest standards, so that you can expect the same finish, sizing, and handling characteristics every time you order.

Typical full roll length is 100 yards.
