I went to the Ibanez Guitar Festival 2025 with @STEVEROXXMUSIC and ended up on a deep-dive through their weird, wonderful, and occasionally confusing history, guided by Dr Dan. From lawsuit-era knockoffs and gold-sparkle hollow bodies to Steve Vai’s sacred limited-edition Pia and an Iceman that nearly made me cry, this is a full journey through the decades. Expect guitars you’ve never seen, shapes that shouldn’t work but somehow do, and a few models that should probably stay in the past.
