Watch the 21st annual Michigan High School Football Coaches Association East-West All-Star football game held at Spartan Stadium on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. The East squad was coached by: Tom Hoover (Allen Park), Mike Marshall (Detroit Henry Ford), Shaun Black (Southfield), Bob Marten (Allen Park), Tom LeBeau (New Boston Huron), and Richard Moore (Clawson).
Future University of Michigan and NFL star Braylon Edwards was the game's MVP scoring three touchdowns in the first half and setting All-Star game records for: receiving yards (215) and touchdowns (3). The East won, 38-14, and led 24-0 at halftime. The East snapped a two-game losing streak to the West. The East's defense held the West's offense to under 150 yards total offense and caused two turnovers.
