Justin Boyd, a San Antonio-based artist speaks about exploring the themes of musical influences in everyday life. Boyd is an artist who explores landscapes, specifically referencing the historical meaning of a unit of natural land to be occupied. His interest lies in the space where nature and humans come into contact with each other. In this talk, Boyd will explore the places, people, and things of the landscape in video, sound, and sculpture.

About Justin Boyd
Justin Boyd (b. 1974) lives and works in San Antonio, TX. He graduated with his MFA from The California Institute for the Arts in 2003. As an artist whose work explores landscapes using sound, image, and objects he has had the privilege of being included in many group shows, solo exhibitions, and performances. He has been the Chair of the Sculpture and Integrated Media Department at the Southwest School of Art since 2013, and continues his long-standing radio show each week on KRTU 91.7 FM.
