The 2028 Genesis GV90 is the new flagship electric sport utility vehicle designed to showcase the very best of Genesis luxury, technology and electric performance.
Hyundai Motor Company highlighted the GV90 during its 2026 CEO Investor Day, revealing just how important this new flagship will be as Genesis enters its second decade.
The all-electric Genesis GV90 features a massive 123.5 kilowatt-hour battery, a dual-motor electric powertrain, rapid charging capability and an estimated driving range of approximately 500 kilometers based on internal development testing. Using a 350 kilowatt fast charger, Genesis says the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 22 minutes.
Inside, the GV90 takes a completely different approach to luxury. Available 180-degree rotating front seats can transform the cabin into a lounge while parked, while the GV90 Neolun introduces dramatic Arch Gate doors. The Neolun First Edition takes things even further with genuine wood flooring, radiant floor heating and a private refreshment refrigerator.
The flagship also introduces advanced technology including a 24.6-inch display, Bang & Olufsen 3D surround sound, advanced air suspension, a roof airbag and Hyundai Motor Group's latest battery safety technology.
Production is equally significant. Hyundai confirmed that its new electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Ulsan, South Korea, will begin production with the Genesis GV90, making this vehicle an important part of the company's next generation manufacturing strategy.
Genesis USA identifies the vehicle as the 2028 Genesis GV90 and says it will arrive in early 2027.
