2026 NIO Onvo L90 Walkaround Experience
The 2026 Onvo L90 is a full-size luxury electric SUV developed by Onvo, the premium EV sub-brand of NIO. Designed as a spacious family-oriented SUV, it offers both six-seat and seven-seat configurations while emphasizing long-range efficiency and advanced technology. The vehicle is built on a high-performance 900-volt electrical architecture and is powered by an 85.1 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery pack. In rear-wheel-drive form, the L90 delivers an estimated 605 km driving range under the CLTC cycle, while the all-wheel-drive variant offers around 570 km. One of its key advantages is compatibility with NIO’s battery-swapping network, allowing drivers to quickly replace the battery at swap stations instead of waiting for conventional charging.
In terms of size, the L90 positions itself firmly in the large SUV segment with dimensions of about 5,145 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,766 mm in height, supported by a long 3,110 mm wheelbase that enhances interior space and ride comfort. The SUV is available with two powertrain options: a single-motor rear-wheel-drive system producing around 340 kW (456 hp) or a more powerful dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup generating a combined 440 kW (590 hp). The AWD version can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in approximately 4.7 seconds, while top speed is rated at about 200 km/h. Efficiency is also a priority, with the vehicle consuming roughly 14.5 kWh per 100 km, partly thanks to a redesigned high-voltage wiring harness that is about 50% lighter than conventional systems.
Inside, the L90 offers a modern luxury cabin filled with advanced digital features and comfort equipment. The dashboard is dominated by a large 17.3-inch central touchscreen that manages infotainment, vehicle settings, and connectivity functions, while rear passengers benefit from an additional 8-inch display for entertainment and controls. The SUV also features a premium 23-speaker sound system, advanced air suspension for smoother ride quality, and multiple seating configurations to suit family or executive travel.
