This video is dedicated to the two official Ferrari 499P LMH Hypercars, N° 50 and N° 51, which will, for the fourth consecutive year, participate in the WEC World Endurance Championship. On Tuesday, March 31, at the Imola circuit, both crews, Fuoco/Molina/Nielsen & Pier Guidi/Calado/Giovinazzi, completed a day of testing in preparation for the start of the championship and the first round, the 6H of Imola, which will open the championship calendar with the first race here. It should be remembered that the official Maranello factory cars won the 24H of Le Mans in 2023 and 2024 (in 2025, the third yellow car, No. 83, the private AF Corse entry, won). They also won the Constructors' and Drivers' World Championship titles with the No. 51 car driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi. As for the hypercars, there were no radical changes: no "Jokers" were used in 2026 development, with the focus instead on optimising the existing aerodynamic package. The car was re-homologated for 2026, undergoing testing in the Windshear wind tunnel in North Carolina (new FIA/ACO standard), which required some mandatory aerodynamic adjustments, particularly to the floor and the front and rear small profiles (flicks). In line with the 2026 regulations, the wing mounts were reinforced to meet the new, more stringent deflection limits (maximum of 2.5 mm under a 100 N load). Work also continued on adapting the hypercar to the new Michelin 2026 tyre compounds. Mechanically, it adopts a 3.0-litre 120° twin-turbo V6 engine ("Hot V" configuration), with the turbochargers positioned within the cylinder banks for greater compactness, with power limited by regulation to a maximum of 500 kW (680 hp), managed via the Balance of Performance (BoP) system. There is also a front-mounted electric motor that delivers 200 kW (272 hp) and drives exclusively the front axle, ensuring all-wheel drive (4WD). Nella giornata di Martedì 31 Marzo, presso il circuito di Imola, entrambi gli equipaggi Fuoco/Molina/Nielsen & Pier Guidi/Calado/Giovinazzi hanno svolto una giornata di test in previsione dell'inizio del campionato e della prima tappa, la 6H di Imola che proprio qui aprirà il calendario del campionato con la prima gara. Ricordiamo che le vetture ufficiali factory di Maranello si sono aggiudicate la 24H di Le Mans nel 2023 e nel 2024 (nel 2025 a vincere è stata la terza vettura gialla, numero 83, quella privata di AF Corse). Hanno inoltre conquistato il titolo mondiale Costruttori e quello dei Piloti con la vettura n° 51 di Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado e Antonio Giovinazzi. Per quanto riguarda le hypercars, nessun stravolgimento: non sono stati utilizzati "Jokers" per lo sviluppo nel 2026, concentrandosi sull'ottimizzazione del pacchetto aerodinamico esistente. La vettura è stata riomologata per il 2026, sottoponendosi a test nella galleria del vento Windshear in North Carolina (nuovo standard FIA/ACO), il che ha richiesto alcuni adeguamenti aerodinamici obbligatori, in particolare al fondo e ai piccoli profili (flick) anteriori e posteriori. In linea con il regolamento 2026, sono stati rinforzati i supporti dell'ala per rispettare i nuovi limiti di flessione più stringenti (massimo 2,5 mm con carico di 100 N). Si è inoltre proseguito il lavoro sull'adattamento dell'hypercar alle nuove mescole Michelin 2026. Meccanicamente, adotta un motore V6 biturbo da 3,0 litri a 120° (configurazione "Hot V"), con i turbocompressori posizionati all'interno delle bancate per una maggiore compattezza, con potenza limitata per regolamento a un massimo di 500 kW (680 CV), gestita tramite il sistema di Balance of Performance (BoP). Troviamo inoltre il motore elettrico anteriore: eroga 200 kW (272 CV) ed agisce esclusivamente sull'asse anteriore, garantendo la trazione integrale (4WD).
