I had the pleasure of witnessing Gravity Industries' Jet Suit Flight Display at the Bologna fair, during the We Make Future 2026 event. The spectacular flight display was performed by a professional test pilot wearing an Iron Man-style jet suit. The Jet Suit is a flying suit powered by five microgas turbines. Two turbines are positioned on each arm, and one is mounted on the back, for a total output of over 1,050 horsepower and a vertical thrust of approximately 175 kg. The pilot controls thrust and altitude using triggers on the handgrips. Direction, trajectory, and flight stability are managed through body and arm movements. Powered by jet fuel, the suit can reach speeds over 120 km/h, and its flight endurance typically ranges from 4 to 7 minutes depending on operating conditions. Inside the helmet is a Heads-Up Display (HUD) that shows the rider crucial data in real time, such as speed and fuel level. For authorised private customers (subject to approval and training), the custom suit will cost between $440,000 and $500,000. Enjoy! 😉
Ho avuto il piacere di assistere al Jet Suit Flight Display di Gravity Industries alla fiera di Bologna, durante la manifestazione We Make Future 2026. La spettacolare esibizione di volo è stata eseguita da un pilota collaudatore professionista, che indossava una tuta a reazione in stile Iron Man. La Jet Suit è una tuta volante alimentata da cinque microturbine a gas. Due turbine sono posizionate su ciascun braccio e una è montata sulla schiena, per una potenza complessiva di oltre 1.050 cavalli e una spinta verticale di circa 175 kg. Il pilota controlla la spinta e l'altezza tramite grilletti posti sulle impugnature. La direzione, la traiettoria e la stabilità del volo vengono gestite attraverso i movimenti del corpo e delle braccia. Alimentata a carburante per jet, la tuta consente di raggiungere velocità superiori a 120 km/h e l'autonomia di volo varia generalmente tra 4 e 7 minuti, a seconda delle condizioni operative. All'interno del casco è presente un Heads-Up Display (HUD) che mostra al pilota i dati cruciali in tempo reale, come la velocità e il livello del carburante. Per i clienti privati autorizzati all'acquisto (previa approvazione e addestramento), il prezzo della tuta su misura si aggira tra 440.000 e 500.000 dollari. Buona visione! 😉
