2026 Arcfox T1
The 2026 Arcfox T1 is a compact electric hatchback positioned as an affordable entry-level EV, developed by BAIC Group in partnership with Magna. Often classified within the A0-class SUV segment, it is designed to rival budget-friendly electric models like the BYD Dolphin, with an estimated starting price between $9,000 and $9,600 in China. Built on BAIC’s advanced electric platform, the T1 incorporates an integrated “eight-in-one” electric drive system that enhances efficiency and packaging while keeping costs low for mass-market appeal.
Under the hood, the Arcfox T1 offers two front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor options, producing either 70 kW (94 hp) or 95 kW (127 hp), with a top speed of around 150 km/h. It delivers impressive efficiency, consuming as little as 11.2 kWh per 100 km. Powering the vehicle are Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery packs supplied by companies such as CALB and CATL, available in capacities of 33.4 kWh, 41.7 kWh, and 42.3 kWh. Depending on the variant, the T1 provides a CLTC driving range of approximately 320 km to 425 km, and supports fast charging that can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% in just under 17 minutes. It also includes practical features like vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) energy sharing.
In terms of size, the T1 measures 4,337 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,572 mm in height, with a 2,770 mm wheelbase and 181 mm of ground clearance, offering a balanced footprint for urban and light crossover use. The interior follows an “Arc-Flow” design concept, emphasizing a clean and safe cabin environment with low-VOC materials. It features a 15.6-inch floating infotainment display paired with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, along with a large 2.34 m² panoramic sunroof. Practicality is enhanced with flexible seating, including front seats that recline up to 180 degrees to form a flat resting area. The T1 also integrates L2-level driver assistance systems, automated parking across multiple scenarios, path retracing for tight spaces, and intelligent low-speed steering that reduces the turning radius to just 5.2 meters.
