In this session at the 2025 RNDS, medical professionals, Jacqueline Rosenthal, Quincy Whittle, Jasmin Brumby Smith, and Brian Smith shared rehabilitation strategies, such as speech and cognition therapy and physical therapy. These therapies equip people with rare neuroimmune disorders to regain strength and mobility and to build endurance. Recovery doesn’t stop at treatment—it also has to do with function, whether that's recovering function or maintaining function. These professionals also introduced adaptive tools that allow people navigating disabilities to be independent. Audience members asked questions about managing fatigue and the physical deterioration of caregivers.
