The PEGASYS Awards, a tradition since 1985, is an annual video competition and awards ceremony for public, educational and governmental (PEG) access producers in the Ithaca, NY area, that this year was organized by staff and volunteers from Ithaca College and the City of Ithaca's Cable Access Oversight Committee. Host of the 2025 Awards is Rhys Finch, Ithaca College Manager of Television & Radio Operations. Producers competed in 4 categories. Winners are 1. Studio Production: PEGASYS Memories, Paul Smith and Newswatch, Tj Skojec, Ally Lemon, Romeo Maslin; 2. Field Production/Documentary: In Memoriam: Bryan VanCampen, Paul Smith and Science 101, Jack Berchoff & George Esposito; 3. Entertainment/Short Subject/Music Video: The Radio Is a Liar, Paul Smith; 4. Sports/Game Show: Gutbucket, Bill McGill and Next Player Up by Karlie Kondiziela. The Lifetime Achievement Award: Theresa Alt for Ithaca DSA Presents; The Judges Choice for Public Access, Crossing Borders, Tom Stern; The Judges Choice for Educational Access: Bombers Live, Justin Antonucci, Katelyn Smith, Liam Shields, Hannah Broxmeyer; The Bryan VanCampen Memorial Award: Science 101. This program premiered on Educational Access Television Channel 16 at the ICTV studio in Ithaca, NY.
