In advance of Notre Dame's 180th University Commencement Ceremony, the University celebrated a Vigil Mass for the Fifth Sunday of Easter on May 17, 2025, with principal celebrant and homilist Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C. The Mass also included brief remarks by Most Rev. Kevin C. Rhoades, Bishop of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend.
