On the night of Friday, October 13th, 2023, the Chula Vista Police Department received several 9-1-1 calls regarding a vehicle fire on the interstate. Officers Donald Truong, Daniel Hernandez and Agent Natalie Garnsey arrived onscene to find a man trapped inside his burning vehicle.
