At Audi Brussels, the eight millionth vehicle rolls off the production line. The Audi e-tron in metallic GLACIER WHITE is the vehicle that passed that remarkable milestone, and this factory is commemorating it. The e-tron, Audi Bruels' first electric SUV, has being built since the fall of 2018; commercial production of the E-tron Sportback started in early 2020. The Audi e-tron, e-tron Sportback, e-tron S, and e-tron S Sportback models are currently being made by more than 3,000 workers. So far, more than 115,000 units have been made. In the upcoming years, models from the e-tron family will also be produced in Brussels.

Aside from electromobility, Brussels is a leader in sustainability. In 2018, the several award-winning city established carbon-neutral production as the first Audi factory and the first mass production facility in the luxury sector globally. A sizable photovoltaic system supplies the factory's green electricity (107,000 square meters [1,151,738 sq. ft.]). Additionally, the heat needed for production is provided by renewable energy in the form of biogas certificates. Technically impossible emissions are currently compensated by approved carbon-credit projects. Audi Brussels was the first Audi plant in the world to produce automobiles under net carbon-neutral conditions as part of our Mission: Zero program, serving as a pioneer and motivator for our other locations. Along with decarbonization, Audi is continuously reducing its ecological footprint in manufacturing and logistics through the Mission: Zero program by focusing on water consumption, resource efficiency, and biodiversity.
