My first cut at capturing today's transit of Mercury across the Sun from the Los Angeles area. We had some clouds this morning that I was fighting but I was able to catch the tail end of the transit. Mercury appears as a small dot in the upper right quadrant of the Sun. We won't be able to see another transit of Mercury until 2032.
