The first ever awards show just for Concept Artists.
On Saturday, September 7th 2019 in Pasadena, California, the Concept Art Association hosted a night of celebration at the inaugural Concept Art Awards Presented by LightBox Expo
Hosted by Jonah Ray (Mystery Science Theater 3000, Nerdist), nominees from five categories were honored by their peers and curated judges, along with a celebration of lifetime achievements to the pioneers of our field and the professional work created during this years submission process. Awards were created by our Premiere Sponsor, Legacy Effects.
This award was presented by Dan Luvisi and was received by Rafael Grassetti.
The Concept Art Association is an organization committed to elevating and raising the profile of concept artists, their art, and their involvement in the entertainment industries. We are creating a community and have events throughout the year with an annual Concept Art Awards Show where we showcase and recognize these behind-the-scenes individuals working in entertainment concept art.
