K2 IKONIC 85TI LEADS NEW ALL-MOUNTAIN COLLECTION
Seattle, Wash. (Winter 2015/16) – Driven by its E3 (Energy Efficient Engineering) design philosophy, K2 Skis introduces K2 Konic Technology. This new and innovative approach to ski construction optimizes materials so you can ski longer and harder, making all-mountain skiing even more fun and enjoyable.
K2 Konic Technology redistributes higher density, more stable materials along the perimeter of the ski and places lighter, more forgiving materials in the center of the ski. This allows for added ease and control without sacrificing high-end performance or the fun personality that is known and expected from K2. This new technology sits at the heart of the K2 All-Mountain collection, which is comprised of the K2 Konic, K2 iKonic and the athlete-inspired Pinnacle series.
“K2 has always been committed to the All-Mountain skier, it’s who we are and who we will continue to be,” said Tim Petrick, K2 president and CEO. “The maintained focus has allowed us to create the next revolution in All-Mountain skiing with the introduction of K2 Konic Technology.”
Leading the charge, the K2 iKonic 85Ti is a prime example of how K2 Konic Technology elevates the playing field. The combination of a strong metal-laminate and paulownia-wood perimeter with a forgiving aspen center core allows this All-Mountain machine to comfortably arc down a frozen groomer or make quick turns through the tightest chute off the top of the mountain.
