This was a little idea that I had come up with following a brainstorming session with a cake decorator that I used to work with.
The basic idea of it was to drip dye into the back of the tube and it would be used like a fountain pen or calligraphy pen. The plan was originally use it to make tie dye designs, although I'm sure it could have been used for more.
Unfortunately, the tip that I had thought was steel (it did, after all have a slight amount of rust on it) was actually stainless steel, though probably the worst grade possible. I had just used standard flux when joining the parts, instead of acid flux, so it ended up breaking apart the next time I dropped it (shortly after I stopped the camera).
