This video demonstrates how to perform a rear differential service and oil change on the Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, And F-550 Superduty. Ford used several different rear axles in the 2011-2024 Superduty here is a link to the chart from Ford showing what axle and type of lubricant that should be used according to your year.

You can also check the sticker located in the driver door jamb or check the axle tags mounted to the rear differential cover bolt to identify what axle your truck has. If your truck has the electronic rear locker axle you will have the green connector mounted to the top left of the differential and your 4wd button will pull out and will not require friction modifier. If you have the LS (limited slip) it will require the XL-3 friction modifier and needs to be added first before any oil is added.
