Sea Turtle Hospital footage from 2007 ⬆️🤯

On this day in our sea turtle history: In 2007, our shortest cold stun season ever started! The season lasted 20 days and ended on December 1 with a total of 17 live turtle patients.

Why was the season so short? Extreme weather! In 2007 there were record low temperatures happening throughout the state (below freezing) + a snow storm immediately followed.

An update on this season: no cold-stunned turtles yet in our hospital! We will keep you updated as the weather changes.
