In 1977, the Brazilian island of Colares and the area of the Amazon delta were visited by flying objects of an unknown nature. Nearly all kinds of UFOs were seen, some big, some small, saucer-shaped, cigar-shaped, barrel-shaped, luminous or not.
They arrived generally from the North every day, from the sky and also sometimes from underwater, and it lasted for months. Regularly, some inhabitants were targeted by the objects which beamed strange lights at them, causing serious burns and strange needle marks.
The Air Force appointed Captain Uyrangê Hollanda, to go to Colares to investigate, report and protect the people. The weird rays hurt thirty-five people, and civilians fled from their villages. Some of them died. Also many animals died under mysterious circumstances.

Testimony by Charles Halt, retired USAF Colonel, who was the Deputy Base Commander at a joint Anglo/American airbase, RAF Bentwaters, in 1980. Among other events, Halt observed a disc-shaped UFO directing beams of light down into the base, at one point near the nuclear Weapons Storage Area (WSA), according to several Security Policemen on duty there.

The House of Representatives today adopted, by voice vote, an amendment offered by Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) to the Financial Services and General Government Appropriations bill (H.R. 4664), to encourage the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to renew the security clearance of David Grusch so that he can show us his work.

Thirty kilometres north of Viedma, at three in the morning on 23 September 1978, Chilean driver Carlos Acevedo, at the wheel of a Citroën GS, was trying to cover the last thousand kilometres that separated him from the finish line of the gruelling Vuelta a la América del Sur.
At his side was his co-driver, Miguel Ángel Moya, of the same nationality. At that moment Acevedo saw a light in the rear-view mirror, which he took for the headlights of another car and moved to let him pass. But that light came closer and closer, and what happened next turned out to be the strangest story ever told about that race.
The vehicle started to elevate from the ground and the drivers claimed to have been “taken” onboard of a UFO and placed further with their car for about 70 kilometers, to the outskirts of Pedro Luro, without them remembering much.
To this day, this remains an unsolved mystery.
