2000 Watt DIY Load for Battery Testing  @HighTechLab

In this video I cover how I used some simple parts that I picked up from the hardware store to build a contraption that I use to draw a constant load on the batteries that I want to test. The reason that I am using a heating element instead of an inverter is because an inverter introduces a significant amount of ac components on the battery and can skew the results of the test.

I decided that it would be best to set the element up like this because then the impact of the temperature of the heating element does not play a part in the resistance of the element. There is obviously some inherent danger with using electronics next to a sink, however if you are careful you should be able to manage being safe while doing this.
