The PEGASYS Awards is an annual video competition and awards ceremony for public and educational access producers in Ithaca, NY first organized by staff and volunteers of Ithaca's PEGASYS Community Media Center in 1985. Host of the 2000 Awards is Studio Coordinator Lauren Stefanelli. Introduction is by Time Warner Cable's General Manager Tom Doheny. Producers competed in 8 categories. Winners are: 1. Arts Event, Mike Brutvan, Amy Witting/ICTV; 2. Community Meeting, IHS Gun Hill Studio; 3. Youth, IHS Gun Hill Studio; 4. Magazine, Marianne Volchek/ICTV; 5. Talk Show, Neil Schwartzbach; 6. Documentary, Monte Patterson and Joyce Muchan; 7. Short Subject, Jim Bosjolie; 8. Variety, Starla Carpenter, Edward Klau and Mathew Warbet/ICTV. Ithaca, NY, February 14, 2000.
