The Giants of Patagonia
Ferdinand Magellan took a break from sailing around the world in 1520 to discover a nude giant dancing and singing on the shore of what is now Patagonia. Magellan directed one of his soldiers to contact the giant and reciprocate the dancing and singing to indicate friendliness. Apparently, it worked. The man successfully led the behemoth to a little island offshore, where the great captain awaited. When he saw them, he began to marvel and be scared, raising one finger aloft, convinced that they had come from heaven. He was so tall that the tallest of them could only reach his waist. Apparently, giants formerly inhabited Patagonia, dwarfing the celestial Europeans who would come to conquer them.
The Brazil Tablet Discovery
In 1310, a courageous company of Malian explorers, commanded by the legendary Mansa Abubakari, set out on an incredible trip across the enormous Atlantic Ocean. Their journey would be remembered as one of the most perplexing and fascinating stories of early transatlantic exploration. Among the many mysteries left behind by these brave explorers is the Brazil Tablet, an artifact that has enthralled historians and archaeologists for centuries. What sets this tablet apart is its recognizable "African pigment" and distinguishing features. The figure on the Brazil Tablet is thought to be an elite member of the Malian colony in Brazil. The Brazil Tablet and the ancient graves spread across Brazil provide persuasive evidence that Malians may have indeed landed on the shores of Brazil, millennia ago.
