Well turns out I was wrong! Checking back into my meditation journal when I transcribed it from my Grimoire I found out a LOT of information that evidently seemed obvious in the moment but really I have since forgotten because my brain was in Alpha Waves or Alpha state, which is close to dreaming and where we get psychic visions from our unconscious and subconscious. As a disabled person, days out need to be carefully planned and this revolved around the art nouveau exhibition at the Victoria Art Gallery in Bath "Toulouse-Lautrec and the Masters of Montmartre" which is now permanent at the Musée d’Ixelles in Belgium. Art Nouveau and especially the work of Alphonse Mucha are one of my most loved Autistic Special Interest and the exhibition featured four artwork by Alfons. I discuss the way my emotions gets at time out of hand when it comes to my autistic special interest, before going to the Parade Gardens in Bath and discovering a century old Pet Cemetery which brings on reflections on death and the luxury that it has become to have a burial. Then come reflections about the beauty of a city like Bath and the need to remind ourselves especially in the united kingdom of how most of our history and beauty comes at the expenses of all those people and countries that the british empire exploited. If you're interested in Egyptian magic you probably have heard the term Kemetism or Kemeticism which is a modern take on ancient Egypt witchcraft based on Egyptian mythology that was revived in the 1970s. In this video we explore Witchcraft for Beginners Friendly Imbolc Daily Rituals for a Witch with Flowers Divination as inspired by the February spell in the Llewellyn Witches' Calendar 2024 as we encounter Dandelions, Snowdrops and Periwinkle on the way to Cardiff Bay. I've been living in Cardiff for just a few years but I see myself settling here, I walk everywhere I can and on this occasion we walked along the Dock Feeder Canal, my favourite town bubbling brook, that from the town centre takes you through Bute East Dock and to Cardiff Council Building and Red Dragon Centre before reaching Cardiff Bay with the Welsh Millennium Centre, affectionally dubbed The Armadillo and the Water Tower by William Pye which you might recognise if you ever watched the Doctor Who spin off Torchwood, which was indeed based in Cardiff!We then get on a journey to Abertawe, Swansea in English, the second largest city of Wales after Cardiff itself! Whereas Cardiff has a Bay but no direct sea access, Swansea as a miles long Beach which is wonderful to walk by regardless of weather. We explore the sand dunes, an amazing cosy shabby chic café with a real fire called The Observatory and I'll tell you about the reason why we came to Swansea at all, even as a couple of skint Cardiffians. We'll explored accidental Bibliomancy with the panels around the Observatory and get to Swansea Market which hosts about FOUR witch shops, and that's without considering the ones on the high street and around the market! Swansea has an incredible ratio of Witchy Shops per person and I just LOVE IT! We then get back to Riverside in Cardiff, where the event "KHALAS! DIGON! ENOUGH!" organised by Gentle Radical in support of Medical Aid to Gaza and Palestine and we get a bit intimate and personal as i'll read you an excerpt from my witch Journal written about a child I met at the event. We'll explore 13 (and a few more I sneaked in) Italian Traditions of Italian Witchcraft, Italian Folk Magic Rituals, Italian Folk Medicine and references and I'll share my own experience with them through personal stories, we'll see how much Italian Witchcraft has actually influenced traditions we have in the witchcraft community at large such as the use of salt and protective herbs like cinnamon and rosemary, the right and left hand traditions that mimic the concept of receiving and projecting hand, freezing spells for the ice box, love spells and blood magic to never engage with, house spirits and the syncretization with old pagan cults such as roman pantheon deities. We'll of course touch Upon Malocchio, the evil eye, how to check if it's present, how to get evil eye protection and how to remove the evil eye (though I sincerely recommend to get Grace's book for that, I just go over the basics and you'll need the incantations in her book to safely check and remove the evil eye). I am trying to move away from terms like black magic or dark energy because those terms are rooted in racism and colonialism (why is black / dark bad and white / light good?!) but that's what we're talking about today. Cardiff at Christmas: Fairy Lights and Homelessness 🏠 DAY 7 #12daysofyule Activist Witch🔮 2023-12-27 | Homeless Charities mentioned: sheltercymru.org.uk/donatellamau.org.uk/donate/donate-to-llamauDay 7 of the #12daysofyule was going to be about connecting to your land in winter and whilst out in the city centre of Cardiff christmas market and winter wonderland gathering evergreens something more important became apparent: that in winter and especially at Christmas, because of the nice mood and fairy lights that should encourage people to buy and spend for their families in gifts, a lot of Homeless people are being displaced because if they were to still be around the town centre they would "dampen the mood". In winter Bute Park, the main green area of Cardiff, becomes closed off behind a £22.50 ticket per person to do a "walk of lights" when the most important feature of the park was that it was taken form the aristocracy and donated to the citizens of Cardiff. While walking around we saw a tent in an underpass of a homeless person trying to find shelter from the cold of this season that already claimed the lives of 4 homeless people in Cardiff and which the media uses for culture wars so that people get mad at immigrants and "we should take of our own first" whilst the government choses to not end homelessness like Finland did efficiently, because they need to keep us scared into working within capitalism, lest homelessness happens to us. The UK government virtually ended homelessness during the pandemic when it was convenient for the health of the population, but soon as that was handled they threw people back on the streets. Housing first should be a human right and I hope dedicating this video to the importance of that can make you consider how important this issue is: we are all one throw of luck away from homelessness. I will show you into detail the Yule log I made with Raven and my coven ad a yule kitchen witch to celebrate the Winter Solstice and with a burning log with bark on and a glue gun and some evergreens so can you! we also used a pyrographer to burn some sigils into the log and even added copper hearts, incense, crystals and pictures of ourselves! According to tradition the Yule Log was to bring the nature and luck within the house and wasnt actually burnt, hence the candles to burn in it but not the whole thing. here's some more info from wikipedia:The Yule log, Yule clog, or Christmas block is a specially selected log burnt on a hearth as a winter tradition in regions of Europe, and subsequently North America. The origin of the folk custom is unclear. Like other traditions associated with Yule (such as the Yule boar), the custom may ultimately derive from Proto-Indo-European religion as similar traditions have been recorded in Celtic, Germanic, Baltic and Slavic paganism, among others.American folklorist Linda Watts provides the following overview of the custom:The familiar custom of burning the Yule log dates back to earlier solstice celebrations and the tradition of bonfires. The Christmas practice calls for burning a portion of the log each evening until Twelfth Night (January 6).
