From the first drive the difference is immediate, the car is flatter yet more compliant over curbs. I can't wait to dial it in properly but I'm already well up on my fastest lap at my local track with some stock settings bimmerworld kindly provided.
Good damping is expensive but really makes a difference with adjustability, control, and most importantly imo, driving enjoyment.

Street, Endurance or Super 200 - The Differences Explained and Tested!Tyre Reviews2025-06-10 | If you've been wondering what type of tire is best for you on track, this is your video!
To find how the differences between popular track options I put three very best in their segment through their paces on track to answer one of the most common enthusiast questions: how much performance do you actually gain by moving from a street tire to a track-focused compound, and then to a full-blown βsuper 200β tire?
The tires I test:
Street Tire: Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 β a daily-friendly tire that also handles the occasional track day.
Endurance 200: Continental ExtremeContact Force β built for consistent lap times and track durability.
Super 200: Hoosier Track Attack Pro β one of the most extreme street-legal track tires available.
Using a BMW M4 GT4 on a hot day at Thermal Raceway (with thanks to the BMW Performance Driving School), we compare real lap times, heat performance, steering response, and overall drivability.
By the end of the video you should learn how each tire behaves across multiple laps, how heat affects performance, and which might be best for your next track day. Whether you're just starting out or looking for maximum lap time, thereβs something here for every driver.

No one has done this level of testing before. Both the BMW M3 and Audi RS4 were on the same matching winter [snow] tires, the Pirelli P Zero Winter. Same size, same pattern, same wheel width, to make this as fair as possible.
Both cars were tested in snow drag races, ice races, and snow handling to finally answer what AWD / four wheel drive system is best in the snow, the BMW X-Drive or Audi Quattro.
If you've seen a better / more scientific test, let me know in the comments. Otherwise be sure to subscribe, and follow me on instagram for more fun like this.
Ever wondered if a low tire pressure or high tire pressure is best in snow? There's loads of good arguments for both low and high.
In theory a high tire pressure puts more pressure through a smaller footprint to increase grip. Also, in theory, a low tire pressure puts more rubber in contact with the surface of the road to... give more grip!
Both can't be correct (well I guess they can as tire testing can be very confusing) so I'm going to scientifically test low tire pressure vs high tire pressure in snow traction, snow braking, snow handling, ice traction and ice braking at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50psi to finally answer what pressure is best in the snow, low or high tire pressure.
The results might surprise you, and it will hopefully stop everyone on the internet arguing.

Do you really need special wheels and tires to have fun on track days? What i you car is totally stock? Does the stock camber and make track day or 200tw tires a waste of money?
To find out I've tested one of the best of street tires, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S against one of the fastest 200tw track tires, the Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS.
In the test we not only look at how fast each of the tires are, but also how easy they are to drive fast, peak braking, acceleration and lateral grip / G, and everything else involved with going fast on track.
Thanks to fitment industries for the wheels.

The new Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS has just convincingly beat the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R as it's own game, the fastest single lap possible on the Porsche 992 911 GT3 RS. Not only was it the fastest, it was also insanely consistent over a 6 lap run, something the other tires could not match and the best in class in the wet π€―π€―
Full details of the test can be found on TyreReviews.com, and yes I will be testing it as soon as Porsche agree to lend me a 992. There's a lot of interesting technology in this new tire which comes directly from Pirelli's involvement in various motorsports. I can't wait to try it.
A summary of the test in english can by found at tyrereviews.com/Article/The-BEST-Track-Day-Tyres-for-2024.htm but also make sure you check out autobild.de12 of the BEST Tires for 2024!Tyre Reviews2024-03-25 | In this video I discuss the best tires for the coming summer season, including ultra high performance summer tires, maximum performance summer tires, all weather tires, all season tires, all terrain tires and EV specific rubber (sort of.)
Please review your own tires at www.tyrereviews.com.
Please don't count the number of tires recommended in the video. It's way more than 12.

This short shows the starting tread depth of 4 of the latest Nokian Tyres products, the Nokian One all season, Nokian OutPost nAT all terrain tire, the Nokian WRG4 SUV (which has now been replaced by the WRG5) all weather tire and the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 SUV winter tire.
All the tires are in the same size. This is Why You Should NOT Fit OE Tires To Your Car!Tyre Reviews2024-02-12 | In this video we discuss why fitting the OE tire your vehicle came fitted with isn't always the best idea.
We know car manufacturers love to make a custom tire for their vehicle, but why do they do that and what does that mean for the driver?
For a lot of cars, the manufacturer often focuses on things that make the driving experience worse, or even unsafe.
This is why fitting OE or original equipment tyres isn't always the best idea.

I test and Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series with identical matching tires to see which is best on snow.
FWD = Front Wheel Drive RWD = Rear Wheel DriveAudi FWD VS BMW RWD - The Ultimate Test on Snow! βοΈTyre Reviews2023-12-15 | Is FWD really better than RWD on snow? To find out, I've matched nearly identical power and weight vehicles, and put them on exactly the same size of the Goodyear UltraGrip Performance 3 to find out really what's best! Audi and it's nose heavy FWD, or BMW and it's perfect 50/50 balance with RWD!
I'll be testing acceleration, or snow traction to see which car is fastest on snow, hill climb to demonstrate which drivetrain is best for getting up a hill, snow circle to test the lateral acceleration and of course, snow handling to see if the FWD Audi A4 is faster around a lap than the RWD BMW 3 Series.
FWD = Front Wheel Drive RWD = Rear Wheel Drive
This isn't just a test of drivetrain; it's a showdown between two automotive giants. Whether you're a car enthusiast or just curious about how these cars perform in winter conditions, this video is a must-watch!
After the tests, we break down the performance of each vehicle, discussing the pros and cons of FWD and RWD in snowy conditions.Snow Socks VS Snow Chains VS Snow Tires - Whats REALLY Best on Snow and Ice?Tyre Reviews2023-12-08 | In this video I test five of the most popular traction devices in the snow and ice, and compare them to an all season and winter (snow) tire.
In the test we have a traditional all season tire, "Anti Skid thickened tendons", which are are a type of cleat, but also essentially just cable ties, "Adjustable Anti Slip Tire Chains" which are fat cable ties, with studs, Peerless Chain Passenger Cables, Diamond Alloy Tire Chains, Autosock snow socks, and of course a snow / winter tire, the Michelin X-Ice Snow.
Each traction device will be tested on a 15% incline, then a 20% if it gets up the 15% hill, plus we will scientifically test the traction and braking of the devices and the tires on a snow flat and ice flat.
This will be the ultimate test to see which device really is best in the snow and ice, and whether any can compete with the winter tire.

In theory, the electric vehicle should have the advantage as the electric motors of the tesla can react much faster than the mechanical AWD system of the Audi, but the RS4 has been developed in the worlds most extreme situations, the snow rallying of World Rally Championship.
The acceleration will be testing on snow and ice to see which is faster in a drag race, and hill climb and snow handling / lap times will also be tested to see which is best overall!
In this video I recommend the best winter tires for every category for Europe and North America. I cover performance winter tires, regular winter tires, nordic winter tires, american snow tires, studded tires, all weather tires, all terrain tires, and all season tires! Yes, recommendations in all those category of tires. There's a lot of tire chat.
Here's some of the links promised in the video, if I've missed anything please let me know in the comments.
It's one of the oldest argument on the internet, and it crops up every winter.
Are you better off with a narrow or wide winter tire?
In this video we'll find out whether a narrow tyre or a wide tyre is best for snow and ice by comparing a 205 wide tyre on a 16" wheel, all the way up to a 275 tyre on a 19" wheel!
First, let's quickly talk about why we're having this argument. There are two contrasting theories about grip on snow and ice, and both of them are technically correct.
The first is the one you most often hear from the internet experts, and it gets used for dry and wet performance too. That is that a narrow tyre can apply more pressure on the surface below. While this is true specifically from a physical grip point of view, it ignores the fact tyres produce chemical grip, and that the footprint shape changes with different tyres widths. Which is kinda a shame as I think a La Ferrari would look hilarious on 155 wide tyres.
The second argument is that a wider tyre has more in contact with the surface., which means more compound to grip, a greater distance of sipes, the cuts in the rubber in a winter tyres tread pattern which gives the tyre more gripping edges, and everything else being equal, a wider tyre should have a little more space to pack snow into the tread, and as snow grips snow pretty effectively, this is an advantage.Winter vs All Terrain vs All Weather vs All Season! Nokian Outpost nAT, Hakka R5, WRG4 & OneTyre Reviews2023-11-08 | The new Nokian Outpost nAT claims to be an all terrain tire you can use in snow, but how good is it? Nokian invented winter tires, so they're pretty confident, so confident in fact they suggested I test it against the king of winter tires, the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5, along with their much loved all weather tire, the Nokian WRG4 SUV, and their high mileage all season tire, the Nokian One SUV.
As always, it's a really in depth test, comparing the snow handling, traction and braking performance of the four sets of tires to see which is best in the winter!
Can an all terrain tire really get close to a full winter tire, or out perform a good all weather in the snow? Or will be barely be able to match the all season? Only one way to find out.
It's worth noting that three of the tires are 3PMSF marked, which is the 3 peak mountain snowflake symbol, sometimes called "severe snow rating" which means they're tested to be legal winter tires. The Winter, All Weather and All Terrain tires carry the 3PMSF marking, but the all season does not.
The test size was 265/65 R17.
Follow us on instagram at www.instagram.com/tyre_reviews7 of the Best AT Tires in the Snow VS All Season & Winter Tires!Tyre Reviews2023-10-23 | Following on from testing these mild all terrain tires in the dry, wet and offroad (watch here: tire-reviews.com/Article/2022-Tire-Reviews-All-Terrain-Tire-Test.htm ) I've taken seven of them through to snow testing, and pitched them against one of the most popular US all season tires, the Michelin Defender LTX MS and one of my favourite winter tires, the Michelin X-Ice Snow.
This will help us answer whether a snow rated (3 Peak mountain snowflake) all terrain really can replace a good all season tire, or even a winter tire in snow.
Unfortunately at time of this test some of the tires from the original test were unavailable. In this test we have:
= Mild AT Continental Terrain Contact AT BFGoodrich Trail Terrain TA Firestone Destination A/T2 Goodyear Wrangler All Terrain Adventure Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain plus Toyo Open Country A/T III Yokohama Geolander AT G015
= Reference All Season - Michelin Defender LTX MS Winter - Michelin X-Ice Snow
