Filmed back in 1988, this is my tribute to late Prince.
A band I played in back in college performed Purple Rain back in 1988 for a show at Freed-Hardeman College (now University) in West Tennessee. I always thought he was a musical funk genius, but he never got enough credit for his guitar playing skill. He was right there with Clapton and other greats when it came to making six strings sing and scream. He will be missed but not forgotten as some of those classic tunes will live forever.
