This is my brothers 1988 Iroc-Z28 with a 377c.i.d. Stroker and D-1 Procharger. I made this video ten years ago in 2001. It was very difficult to tune this engine at the time, due to the limited availability of ECM tuning options. I was programming PROM's as best as possible for this, which was, to say the least, superfluous. This engine flowed so much air, the mass air flow sensor would max out at part throttle, and could not be compensated for in pump-shot tables. This was built emissions friendly (passed with flying colors), and retained all stock creature comforts. We were the first to use the upgraded prototype mounting bracket for the D-1 Procharger on 3rd generation Camaros. The old design was thinner, and only contained 3 mounting holes. As of today, it sits after never completing the upgrade to DFI 7, Wide band 02, and 55lb. low impedance injectors. Even though it never saw wide open throttle, it remains un-defeated on the road after many impromptu races!
