This was state of the art in 1984. It originally cost $1499 ($4440 in today's money (adjusted for inflation)). So, it was not a toy. Although designated PortaSound (PS), it is not a small instrument. It has the most variations and better sounds of any other keyboard in the PS line at the time (PS-55, MK-100, PS-200, etc.)
