Once a year, gamekeepers from all over the country descend on the Packington Estate at Meriden for the Gamekeepers’ Fair. They catch up and talk shop about rearing game, catching poachers and the stresses and strains of the job.

They also have compete and have some fun. This year, Julian Pettifer is in attendance to learn about gun dog competitions, fire a shotgun and watch a gamekeeper wobble precariously on his bike over the gamekeepers’ obstacle course.
