The Fanatics follows people with unusual enthusiasms.

At Marple in Cheshire a group of helmeted and overalled individuals spend their weekends restoring the Peak Forest and Ashton Canal. But why bother restoring canals anyway? And what do the volunteers get out of their dirty weekend?
