In 1972, the ABC TV Show, "The American Sportsmen" was sponsored by the Ford Motor Company. This episode featured two commercials from Ford about the Ford Pinto and it's heritage. The Pinto has gone on to be the Butt of many jokes, but the reality is that it was the most popular American Sub Compact Car produced in the USA, during the 1970's with approximately 3.2 Million cars produced.
