Jenny Nasmyth reports from Slough, where the local council have proposed that all dogs should be kept on leads in the district's roads and pavements. Police have been instructed to pick up any dogs found in the street that are not on leads.
The proposal is the latest initiative in the "Slough experiment" - a large scale road safety trial, but is it a step too far? Is it workable? What do the public and the police think?
