In 1953 at Deer Lake Hills Farm in Clarkston, Michigan, America's top farm news editors and reporters and guests of Dearborn Motors gathered to preview the new Ford tractor, along with more than 100 farm implements. A few years prior in 1947, Deer Lake Hills Farm, which was owned by Ford Motor Company opened in order to test its new farm implements on over 500 acres of land. This was also the home of Dearborn Motors Corporation, whose slogan at one time was "Ford Farming – means less work, more yield per acre." In 1953 the new Ford NAA Golden Jubilee tractor was the highlight for the farm reporters in attendance. This tractor was a special edition model commemorating Ford's 50th anniversary of producing tractors. It featured a sleek design with golden accents, a 134 cubic inch, 4-cylinder gasoline engine, and improvements such as a live PTO (power take-off) and a hydraulic system for easier operation. The Golden Jubilee was a popular choice among farmers for its reliability, power, and modern features, marking a significant milestone in Ford's tractor production history.

Farm journalists reported on agricultural topics including farming practices, agricultural machinery, livestock, crop production, rural issues, agricultural policy and even new Ford tractor introduction events. These events were often held at Ford dealerships or large farm venues, to showcase the latest advancements in agricultural machinery. Dealers and company representatives would enthusiastically demonstrate the tractors' performance, highlighting their power, efficiency, and ease of use as farmers or the farm reporters would gather to ask questions and discuss the benefits of upgrading to these modern machines.
