The 1951 Belgian Grand Prix was won by Giuseppe "Nino" Farina driving for Alfa Romeo. Held on June 17, 1951, at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, it was the third round of the 1951 Formula One World Championship.
Race Summary
Despite Juan Manuel Fangio securing pole position and setting the fastest lap, his race was ruined by a disastrous pit stop when a wheel jammed on its hub, causing him to drop to the back of the field. Farina took advantage of this to dominate the 36-lap race, finishing nearly three minutes ahead of the Ferraris of Alberto Ascari and Luigi Villoresi
